about
I wrote this song to capture the emotion of my son being born nine weeks early. His stay in the neonatal intensive care unit lasted four weeks. Since the moment he was born through his stay in the NICU there was so much uncertainty around his health. There were literally moments when he would stop breathing and alarms would fire off. What were mere seconds felt like minutes as we pleaded for him to give us another breath. My son is now a happy healthy baby and my wife and I couldn't feel more blessed.
We recognize that not all families are as fortunate as we have been. The purpose of this song is to raise money and awareness for premature births. We will be donating proceeds from the sale of this song to March of Dimes. The minimum purchase price is $1.00, but you can contribute more if you would like. Please share this track with your friends and family. Every dollar we raise is one more dollar that will go towards research. Research that could help save a baby's life or even prevent a premature birth in the future.
lyrics
Always Been Stronger (than Superman)
I'll keep on holding your hand
Cause it's the only way I know you know I'm here
I'll keep on singing in your ear
Cause it's the only way I can fight back all them tears
So I need you to pull on through
The world won't be the same without you
Give me another breath and keep on fighting
Just show me another breath and keep on fighting
They may say you're looking smaller
but you've always been stronger than Superman
I know I'll see you come morning time
And I'll do my best not to worry bout them flashing lights
I can't tell your mama how scared I am
I'm trying oh so hard to be her strong man
So I need you now to pull on through
The world won't be the same without you
I've been waiting all these days
For the time we can pick up and drive away
but until then son you can bet that I'm here to stay
Give me another breath and keep on fighting
Just show me another breath and keep on fighting
They may say you're looking smaller
but you've always been stronger than Superman
